On paper, even $8/hour, eight hours a day and six days a week would amount to a reach fortune here, but that's absurdly below the poverty line there.

And we're not even talking of the many taxes and expenses out there. So yes, many of my people here don't take most of those things into consideration. We assume (wrongly) that anyone abroad is rich.
