I've experienced a few glitches with the mobile app. As a case in point, the first time I tried to comment on this article, the claps didn't show. I had to close the app and restart it. Then my network was piss poor I had to wait for stronger reception after about a minute. If a call came through at the time and took me away, it'd seem I played one of those I don't even know if it'll register as a read.

Those are exceptions, yes, but I don't know how widespread they are. And I can't rule that out of the conversation altogether.
