I don't know if to call it an obstacle, but recently I joined a group on a semi-trek along a forest reserve and park.

It wasn't communicated to us ahead of time that we needed lots of water, and we had a hard time at it. Also, it had rained the previous night and some parts were very muddy.

It sucked the fun out of the trek.
