After 43 days, the shipment finally arrived. “At least the long wait was worth it,” I said, itching to try my hands on the new telephoto lens my friend had just bought.
After carefully breaking the seal and opening the box, I saw the look on his face change. Something was not quite right with the package we had just received.
It wasn’t the same as advertised. The seller listed a more recent model, which was the deal breaker for my friend.
“The world is a crazy place right now. There’s no honesty, you can’t trust some of these online retailers,” he said, almost in tears. With the evidence in front of us, it was hard to argue with him.
“There are a lot of dishonest and evil people out there,” I managed to say.
